DNA Summer Camp exists so that children who may not have access to a traditional summer camp experience can enjoy several weeks of fun-filled activities and have exposure to careers through partnerships.
How it started

Daily Needs Assistance (DNA) launched a summer lunch program to provide children with meals over the summer. As the summer begins, low-income families no longer have free and reduced lunches as a source of food for their children. Often, this forces families to make heavy sacrifices to feed their children and still have to go many nights without food.

Where we are now

As the program grew, the opportunity to offer more than just lunches made itself apparent. Games, art stations, and karaoke were introduced to make the experience more enjoyable. Guests are invited for special presentations, from a wide range of birds from the Ohio School of Falconry to graphic designers showing campers how to create a new business identity and helping launch products.

We believe in cultivating a child's curiosity for future careers and life building!
